I'm so frustrated! I haven't received any word about a student number.  Probably nothing but I shot off an email to the graduate admissions department.

This is what I'm thinking! I was a student there for 4 years over a decade ago, perhaps they don't assign new student numbers to former students.

Don't feel discouraged. I never received a student number email and I got accepted last Monday. I got my student number after my acceptance. Regardless you will find out one way or another. I know the wait can be hard! I hope you all hear back soon!

Hey, just wanted to jump in. I actually got a new student number with my acceptance and I was a student at UofT previously.

That could be why! I never got a new student number for my York application since I was a former student.

When you received an acceptance who was the email from and what did it say?

My email was from [email protected]. It said to check the portal for an update. I checked the portal and found a 11-page acceptance letter.
