Hello future nursing students,
I just wanted to make a post as we enter the new academic year, and more importantly the next admission cycle. Hopefully through this post we can all share our admission experiences, concerns, and achievements.
To begin with, I am currently a University of Toronto student completing my final year! I am hoping to apply to UBC, UofT, Nipissing, Western, and Trent. Just waiting on applications to open up! I am slightly worried I may not get in because admission is so competitive, and seeing those with 3.9+ not get in can be very scary.
How about you? Are you excited for the new school year? Any concerns for the admission process? Let's get through this together

Yeaa I still have application received as well. All they ever say is that they send out the remaining offers/rejections before June 30th. From what I understand from last year, some people heard back exactly on June 30th as well. So we could be waiting a while
Has anyone gotten called off the waitlist from Western yet?

Not sure if anyone has answered this before, but how realistic is it for me to work part time as a student? I understand there are approx 1 month breaks in between the 3 month semesters.
Are there any groups to connect with others yet?
Congratulations! May I ask if you were on the waitlist? I’m going to UofT but I’ll be working 1-3 shifts per week, just a part time position ?

Yes I was on the waitlist for a while there. I just received an email today. I have yet to see it updated in the portal or OUAC though.

Hi, 2nd year Nipissing student here - all of us work part time jobs, some even two part time jobs! The only time it is really difficult to manage school and work is when you are in your final consolidation semester.
There is also a facebook group for your cohort - look up Nipissing Class of 2024.
Congratulations!

I declined my offer from Western and accepted Nipissing. A spot should open up soon to anyone on the waitlist. Good Luck
