  3. Wow stonepod can I just say that your story is inspiring. You beat the odds and tried and tried again until you did it.I don’t know you bout I am exciting and proud of you!Congratulations! You most definitely deserve this!Thank you so so much for sharing your story.Funny enough I have a phone call planned with Durham u oit on Monday to discuss the upgrading but!And now your story OMG I think this is my plan. One more thing stonepod can you tell me the courses you did at Ryerson? Is it any post rpn course?I am ready and willing to bite the bullet and accept that upgrading is the only way and I am so pumped and eager and ready to go!Thank you again you really have encouraged me.Air hugs!
  4. I wish I was in a program like its such a low .I feel not "good enough."Who knew one bad grade in the rpn program would have such wide spread effects. You are very lucky you are almost done. Not going to lie I am lo key jealous.Le isgh not sure what to do from here with my rpn to RN journey.Feels like it ended before it even began,,:(
  5. Thank you for reply.I cant say I wish it were better(LOL!)OMG!!This seems hopeless!Like for all international educated nurses they are now getting their papers.I know they did school abroad but its like come on I've gone to school here and only want to better myself.I just need the oppourtunity.I am constantly watching weRPN to see if any changes .I do see some programs have now created compressed bridging(19 mos fanshawe)but of course you had to go to school there.I guess what I am hoping is that the strict ***ing requirements will lessen.XYrodon, congrats at least you did it bro!I am still here "RPN" it kills me when I saw 21 year olds RN and here I am still RPN with years of experience in med/surge.
  6. Hello stonepod just wondering how did things work out for you in the end?I am in similar positiong.I didn't know repeating one course would change the trajectory of my entire life.Literally, went to Centennial(which is the worst school by the way),failed patho had to repated and now my avaerage is like 3.7.I desperately want to be an RN (im also older) but it seems this dream is lost. And please athabasca is not it,I know many doing it but online learning is difficulty plus I have family.I keep hoping they willc hange bridging requirments.
  7. Hey Jummy,I actually just got a job in hospital previously in Longmont term care!YAYYYYY CONGRATS TO US!I really wanna do athabasca but this “BIOL235”mandatory course looks like hell!I havnt decide yet
  8. Hey,I’m currently in the same boat. What did you decide to do?Im thinking of going to Athabasca but I’m unsure .Please help!Hope all worked out for you.
