Ontario BScN Accelerated Program Fall 2022

Updated:   Published

Hello future nursing students,

I just wanted to make a post as we enter the new academic year, and more importantly the next admission cycle. Hopefully through this post we can all share our admission experiences, concerns, and achievements.

To begin with, I am currently a University of Toronto student completing my final year! I am hoping to apply to UBC, UofT, Nipissing, Western, and Trent. Just waiting on applications to open up! I am slightly worried I may not get in because admission is so competitive, and seeing those with 3.9+ not get in can be very scary.

How about you? Are you excited for the new school year? Any concerns for the admission process? Let's get through this together

I already paid since it was my first choice

Same, but should we receive any letter or package in the mail? Even upon after receiving just the offer of admission?

I think this is from a very biased lens. But there are definitely pros/cons I’ve never seen before

that's a valid opinion considering these are things I know because they're important and noteworthy to ME. I may seem biased because I have an admission to one and not the other but based on what I wrote alone, I don't even know what I'd pick if I had both tbh because the factors I mentioned on both sides are pros and cons for myself that I'd have to really weigh out.  Money and time are super important to some which western of course 'wins' at unless you live close enough to be commuting to uoft. But clinical hours and maternal child courses are like really huge to others, including myself. Just depends on your own value toward each of the pros/cons. I also may have made it a little western heavy because I know more about their curriculum but it's also easier to know more just because there's more info on their website. I'm definitely not here to attack either school if that's what it seemed like. You can thrive anywhere if you allow yourself to be open to the opportunities that each unique school has. At the end of the day any acceptance to any school is an incredible accomplishment. It's who you are as a person, not what school you pick, that will make you an amazing nurse.

Does anyone know York's and McMaster's deadline to submit Winter grades? I just want to know if I need to submit an early grade release form or not since my school posts official grades quite late and I want to make sure they receive them on time.

I wish I could tell you an exact answer but I'm not sure. If no one replies to you though they're pretty responsive to emails to [email protected] and just follow up if you don't hear back within 3 days

If you find out let me know!

Received a conditional offer from Queen's today!!
Looks like they are starting to send them out now ?
Time to start the pros and cons list between Queen's and Trent.

Good luck to anyone else who was waiting on Queen's!

Congratulations on your acceptance!

I just received my offer as well and stuck between Trent and queens! Hopefully I hear back from Mac and Uoft !

Did anyone else get an email from McMaster saying there was a privacy breach and their personal info was sent to someone by accident? Or am I just super unlucky LOL
