Ontario BScN Accelerated Program Fall 2022

Updated:   Published

Hello future nursing students,

I just wanted to make a post as we enter the new academic year, and more importantly the next admission cycle. Hopefully through this post we can all share our admission experiences, concerns, and achievements.

To begin with, I am currently a University of Toronto student completing my final year! I am hoping to apply to UBC, UofT, Nipissing, Western, and Trent. Just waiting on applications to open up! I am slightly worried I may not get in because admission is so competitive, and seeing those with 3.9+ not get in can be very scary.

How about you? Are you excited for the new school year? Any concerns for the admission process? Let's get through this together

Do acceptances go out every week? How does it work? (I applied to western, Nipissing, & u of t) I’m aware nipissing & u of t didn’t send out any yet but what about western do they send them every week?

For those who applied to McMaster, when you sent the pre-requisite form, did you guys get a confirmation email?? Or do we just trust they updated our profile??

Hi there, I'm just seeing this thread and your post - I applied to McMaster and never got any confirmation email back! What about you?

@2022nursinghopeful

I never got a confirmation email but I did my CASPer Jan 13th and they updated my application checklist for the supplementary application at the end of February, so I just assumed they got it ??‍♀️ (fingers crossed tho)

Has anyone heard back from Trent or Queen's yet? And does anyone have more information on Trent's program?

Hey, for everyone who has gotten acceptances, I was wondering what the conditions of your offer were? if they gave any, thank you!

You have to maintain a 75% final average and make sure all prerequisites are completed with no failures!

No failures for prereqs or no failures period?

It says "You must complete your current program of study with no failures and a minimum final average of 75% as calculated by Western. You must also successfully complete any prerequisite courses currently in progress. "

Hey, do you mind sharing the name of the thread where you saw this? Thank you!

I received an offer from Trent yesterday!

When do McMaster, Queen's and U of Toronto start sending theirs out? I've got an offer for a full four-year program from uOttawa. It was my back up in case everything else fails, but I'd rather spend two years at school instead of four.
