Anyone accepted for the Spring '18 start, for the second degree BSN program? I was hoping to connect with some future classmates through this! I got the invitation for orientation today, so things are becoming real. Hopefully someone is out there! haha.

hi i am looking to apply to their program next year. is there any way I can privately message you to ask about pre reqs and program questions? this whole process is making me so anxious. I have yet to take nutrition and i am from connecticut and was wondering what nutrition will be accepted for their program

Kelly, did you get any interest about creating a facebook group? Friday happened so quickly that I did not exchange information with anyone.

Nursinghopeful 92, sure, if you want to message me, that's perfectly fine. But for this program I don't believe you need to take Nutrition with a Registered Dietician (many programs are now requiring it) My class wasn't with a RD and I still was accepted. Here's a link to the class description of where I took Nutrition: Nutrition | Master Course Outlines | Academics | Bucks County Community College

I'd be happy to answer whatever questions I can. We haven't started yet, we just had our Orientation on Friday, so I'm not sure exactly how much about the program I can tell you, but I'd be happy to help where I can.

I didn't, and I just tried but I can't until I have someone else to invite. Do you want to send me your email linked to your FB and I can send you an invite!

Hello! I was accepted into the Summer 2018 cohort. I would love to hear your feedback once you start! Good luck!

Hi Maria. So, we're only two weeks in so I can't give you too much insight, BUT, I am really enjoying it so far. The professors are amazing and the schedule, for now, is very manageable. Good luck to you and congratulations!!

That is good to hear that you are enjoying it so far! What is your schedule like? Summer start date just got pushed up to April 30th from May 14th so I am anxious to begin.

The schedule just for the first eight weeks isn't too bad. We're there four days a week Monday to Thursday, two of those days we have lab, which are the two long days. The other two days, we only have one class, so it's really not so bad. When we start the second session of this semester, we'll be starting clinicals, so things will get a little more busy. I think they like to break us in easy :) Haha. You'll really like it, the program seems amazing.

Kellyfuturebsn, I see you finally got accepted to Holy Family, Congrats! Thomas Jefferson's Fact-1 Accelerated BSN is kicking my behind hard. Quick question. A friend of mine wants to apply to Holy Family's Fast Track, but is afraid to travel too far for clinical (she does not have a car). Can you tell me where/some names of the clinical sites Holy Family places their students, St. Mary, Penn, Einstein, the VA?

Thanks,

Congrats on getting into Jefferson. They were my second choice! I actually was in my Chem 2 class pre-req for Jeff, and after the first day, I got my acceptance to Holy Family, so I was happy I could drop it! lol. Our clinicals change with every "semester." Basically we have two 8-week sessions in a semester. The first six weeks of each of those eight weeks, we have clinicals, and the location will change with every session. We are told they are anywhere that's in a 25 mile radius of main campus (in NE Philly), and although they try to keep people's locations in mind, it's not always possible to keep students close. We basically go with a luck of the draw. For me, it's not a big deal because I live pretty close to both main and Newtown campus (where our classes are located). Unfortunately not having a car will make things a bit difficult.

That sounds pretty manageable! Are you working part time or anything while in the program? I am hoping to have a part time job while attending.
