Anyone accepted for the Spring '18 start, for the second degree BSN program? I was hoping to connect with some future classmates through this! I got the invitation for orientation today, so things are becoming real. Hopefully someone is out there! haha.
Hey there! I am starting the program as part of the Summer 2018 cohort! Can you give me any information as to what your experience has been so far? Eager for information! lol thanks !
Congrats on getting in! I've basically given as much info on this thread as I can. I'm still only four weeks in, so I can't give much more info than I already have. When you guys have orientation, you'll get so many questions answered. You should really enjoy it, our professors are great.
Hey everyone! I applied for the Fall 2018 program and just waiting for an answer! What were your stats on getting accepted did you have any classes pending when you were accepted?
Also how is the labs and technology? I know Drexel and Jeff use Ipad pros for books and test taking does Holy Family do this too? Thank you for any insight!!!!

I only had like a 3.1 or 3.2 GPA overall, but 4.0 in the pre-reqs. I think I had two outstanding when I applied, but finished one of them while they were in the process of making decisions, then finished the last one just before they made decisions.
Labs are fun. As far as technology goes, we're not really required anything like that. There are computer labs at our disposal, and a lot of students bring in their own laptops or tablets to class. And tests are the old school way, scantron and booklets. We do computer testing for our other resources, further into the program.
Hey everyone! I applied for the Fall 2018 program and just waiting for an answer as well! I am so nervous! My overall GPA is 3.8 and science GPA 3.0. I do have all my prerequisite, but wondering how do they select candidates for the program??? My GPA 3.8 is from Thomas Jefferson University, but before that i attended local community college, where i took all my prerequisite along with bunch of other class, my transcripts isnt looking pretty as i have ALL kinds of grades ugh. When i call Holy Family, i got a feeling that they are only looking at the prerequisite. I am so worried. Any thoughts? Thanks!
p.s. i live in Newtown area, if anyone needs any help or info please fill free to reach out!

I mean this is just the first eight weeks. I know things are going to get really hectic, our clinicals are 12 hours, and we'll still have a pretty heavy course load. I do work part time, but I know a lot of people in my program are not working. My job is VERY flexible though, so I think it makes it a little easier. Some other students are working though...I doubt full time would be doable though.
