Fall 2017 ADN MSMU (LA)

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi Everyone!

I did not see a thread for Fall 2017 Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) cohort for Mount Saint Mary's University-Los Angeles, I was wondering if anyone has applied for next fall! Feel free to share your grades stats, teas score, interview updates or ANY sort of updates from the school! I look forward to interacting with you all!!

Hello! So was it TEAS 6??? or 5?

Your over all is 74.7? that's good, msmu wants 62% passing at the least. How did you do in english? I feel like reading it the worst for me. Science is tricky, last time i took it, it was awful. Well at least you've finished it! Good luck for next steps!!

Yeah a 74.7 overall on the TEAS VI... I don't think it's that good so I am thinking about retaking it. English section I scored like 66% on both of the sections... not very happy with those scores. Science was really straight forward. I used an app on my phone to study and it helped a lot. It's called Pocket Prep - Teas (It cost 15 to unlock the full thing).

Oh good, at least you have more dates you can retry. I don't know why reading portion is extra odd, too much reading, i feel like i take most of my time doing reading. You took it on computer right? Were you allowed to use calculator for math? ANY tips for studying?

Honestly, considering I didn't study for the english/reading portion at all, I think I scored decently on it. The readings are the same length as the practice test from ATI. Also, it was the computer version, and yes a calculator was allowed for math. For science, you can find study sets on quizlet, the app I posted (you can make your own exams with questions they have) is another good source. It has all the material covered on it.

PS: I don't think I'll be retaking it, Im going out of town next week and the final date to submit the teas scores is the 22nd.

Btw, do they send out an email before the teas exam containing the room and parking information?

Yes they do. If it's the same room I took it in, it'll be building 5 room 208. Parking will be free, just go to the guard shack and tell the guard you're there for the teas test. Building 5 is located to the left of the library.

Ok cool. Keep us updated with anything else. Good luck to everyone taking teas!

I applied with a 3.5 in science and a 3.4 overall GPA (w/ everything done). I scored 86 on the TEAS V(96th percentile). I have two years of volunteer/internship experience and one year experience as a CNA at UCLA Ronald Reagan Hospital.

just got the scores, I got 65% on the TEAS, do you think it's enough since they want 62% as a passing score?

What did you score on the math and science??

I took the exam today as well. I got a 78% overall. Reading 80%. Math 87%. Science 76%. English 70%.

@okDeborah, that is average for the program, according to ATI website results.

I emailed the admission's counselor and said they'll come to a decision at the end of the month, and send out letters early June.

Good Luck to everyone!

One of my mate got in with 68% in the adn program for last fall. I dont know what to expect. Let's hope for the best now!!

I'll keep you guys updated on my status. Hopefully we all get accepted!!! *crossing fingers*
