Fall 2017 ADN MSMU (LA)

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi Everyone!

I did not see a thread for Fall 2017 Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) cohort for Mount Saint Mary's University-Los Angeles, I was wondering if anyone has applied for next fall! Feel free to share your grades stats, teas score, interview updates or ANY sort of updates from the school! I look forward to interacting with you all!!

They also increase tuition every year. Right now it’s like $973 a unit, first semester you’ll take 12 units, which ends up being around $11,676 before any school fees. Like mlena said, keep your options open.

Grades and clinical were not the issue. The whole program is unorganized and the professors are not good. I’m not sure if anyone feels “ready” to pass the NCLEX, so I guess you could say no... I’m not ready haha. The school costs sooo much and it is all for nothing.... it’s just terrible, and a lot of my classmates and other cohorts would say the same thing. But, do not let this deter you... just wanted to give you a heads up.

Omg! Thank you soo much for sharing your experience. I'm sorry you and your class mates went through this. I really appreciate the heads up. I'm happy your finished now ☺

973/unit that's soooo high! Omg! Thank you for the heads up. You guys are great for being honest.

Hi Mlena1,

Just out of curiosity, describe how the program is unorganized. And what are the clinical weekends like? Were they every other weekend? And how many days did you have to attend class on campus? Also, was Financial Aid of any help and approximately what are the monthly payments? Thanks!

Another question for anyone available to answer. Is it hard to pass classes because of the disorganization? I can't imagine paying all that cash to fail!

In regards to the disorganization, id be sitting here for hours haha. Just everything. Clinical depends on where you go, but for me, I had clinical every Saturday and Sunday for 4 weekends or it was every other weekend. Financial aid did help me, but I’m not sure about the monthly payments.. it costs close to 12000 a semester

No it is def not hard to pass the classes ahah that’s why the program is so stupid and that’s why a lot of us feel like we didn’t learn anything. If the classes were harder, I’m sure I would’ve learned more. If that makes sense.

Definitely not hard to pass but we did have two students fail out of our cohort early on though.

Thank you. I appreciate the info.

Hello! Does anyone still have their MSMU ADN nursing textbooks?

Thank you very much!

Can anyone share how did you prepare for the Kaplan? Does MSMU take the TEAS?
