Online NP programs.

Nursing Students NP Students

Published

i am looking for information on online nursing masters programs that have emphasis on np rather than administration, education, or informatics. i really want one that has rolling enrollment, is accredited, and affordable. perferably pay as you go option. can someone please point me in the right direction, with maybe a run down on the cost, and any other information you may have. i cannot find any cost information thru these programs on the internet. phoenix is one i believe, but they don't list the cost, and i imagine they are probably one of the more expensive ones. i was interested in walden, but i found out they do not offer np programs, so i've been looking for another school. any help is appreciated, thanks!

there are tons of threads about this in the student np forum.

i realize that, however, the fact that there are tons of threads is not helping as my questions pertain to something near missouri, actual prices, and each school has different timeframes in which things can drop off, ect. so, if you can point me to the right threads that actually list prices, timeframes, cheap online schools in missouri, that would be great. it's a greater help to ask those that are in this process now, than to shovel through the thousands of threads in the student nurse forum. thanks for the help.

All of that is there, but you will have to look for it yourself.

With respect, I was helping by pointing you to a place that has all the information you want easily available at your fingertips. If you don't want to do your own due diligence in finding a program that fits your needs, I don't think you are going to be successful in any program, but good luck.

as i had previously stated, i have already been looking through the piles upon piles of threads. being snarky and telling someone to go look it up themselves is hardly helpful. there was never any reason for you to post again after i stated that i needed more specific help, other than to be a pain in the neck. getting off on telling others to look it up themselves when they ask for help is rather ridiculous, and you really need not reply again, as i imagine it will be another subtley rude comment.

uh, ok.

I hear ya OP--even though the info is here and on the net--it hard to know if a program is even reputable! Yeah they will all tell you what you want to hear as far as "being reputable and being able to get a job using the degree". But the reality is on-line is still new and that is scary. So sorry I can't be of a lot of help as I have been in a similar place as you till they just recently started a program near me for the masters I want so......but just ignore those here who can't seem to be nice. Good luck to you. Hope you are able to get the info you need.

i would say look at indiana state university or ball state university both are accredited, good prices and you don't have to go to campus. my school, u of st. francis in joliet, il right outside chicago is expensive but i only had to go there once and that was for the assessment class. that worked well for me being that i live in louisiana. i did tons of research on this topic before finding a program good luck.

i posted a topic like this a while back and here are the links that were provided to me from one of the other users. i know they are not all in mo but, you might find something:

clarion university of pennsylvania

east carolina university

allen college (although it's hard to figure out exactly if all courses are online because they aren't clear on this)

clarkson college

graceland university (this was one of my top 3 choices)

montana state university

northern kentucky university

university of colorado at colorado springs

university of missouri

wright state university

duquesne university (another one of my top 3 choices, but they require you to visit once a year before thanksgiving - great school, however)

vanderbilt university

university of phoenix

university of delaware (hard to say if fnp can be done completely online)

university of southern indiana (a friend of mine is finishing up her program there and did it all online)

thanks for the help! i'm looking in to these with hopes that i'll find something reasonable. i recognize a few of these from past research so maybe that's a good thing. i figure i need to obtain some skills in class, so a trip or so isn't so bad as long as it's within reason of course. driving across country isn't really an option for me, so i'll have to pick something that's not more than several hours from me. thank you.
