I shadowed a Nurse that was just finishing up her FNP through Graceland and she said the program was great.

Thanks for the input. Now Univ. of Oklahoma isn't online is it???
There website didn't indicate online and said it was 2 years full time. I'll checkout Graceland as well. I'm looking for something part-time and a school that will work with my other bachelor degree prereqs.

University of Phoenix is 100% online. Roughly a year and a half to complete.
Fully Accredited. I may be wrong, but I had heard that Walden was not accredited. Again, I may be wrong.

I had heard that Walden was not accredited
Per the Walden University website:
Walden University is seeking professional accreditation from associations recognized by the U.S. Department of Education for a number of degree programs.
Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education
The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) has accepted Walden University's application for initial accreditation of the Master of Science in Nursing program. The on-site evaluation by CCNE will occur during fall, 2005, and the CCNE Board of Commissioners will make an accreditation decision in spring, 2006. CCNE is officially recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) as a national professional/specialized accreditation agency. http://www.waldenu.edu/c/About/About_231.htm
Initial accreditation usually reviewed and granted afterschools second class graduates. It will be retroactive to start of program if meets standards.
Walden Univ. is offering a 50% tuition reduction for their online Master's program if you sign up for Sept 6th start date (deadline this Monday). The reduction is offered if you agree to a comprehensive evaluation of their program. So anyone out there used/or is using them currently???? Still tying to choose.

Wanted to let you know I am also searching for an online MSN program. I did check out Walden but would be weary of any school that is not fully accredited. I am uncertain if Walden has received accreditation as of this time. I have been basically checking into all MSN online degree programs-searching for the perfect program. I am leaning towards University of Phoenix right now. You should give them a call, the advisor spent over an hour on the phone with me discussing degree options, classes, costs, how the online class works, etc... It was very helpful. ALSO, if you sign up by the end of October they waive the application fee ($110) and first class book fee ($80).
P.S. hope this posts ok, my first post, I am new here
