Once you get your ATT, how long to schedule?

Hi!

My question is: once you get your ATT. how much time do we get to schedule the actual test? I mean, does it expire or anything after a certain amount of time? What is the latest we can schedule it?

Thank you very much!

You get exactly one year to take your test after you get your ATT. :-D

That is not necessarily true for all states--in VA, we have 6 months after we get the ATT in which to take the test.

p_one: it should indicate on your ATT when you can take the test; if it doesn't, your state BON will be able to tell you.

Thank you both! :)

My Att had a date to take it by.

Oops, what a great point....I did not realize that the test taking time differs from state to state. I am in CA, so my ATT is good for a year.

I actually thought I had a year too, until my ATT showed up saying I better get it done by November.

I wonder if any states have a shorter period than 6 months.

Some states will only give you 90 days so all varies but should state something on the ATT or site website
