Circulators- (or other nurses that take call) What kind of cool call schedules does your facility have?

There are a few threads in the OR forum about how call is done.
How do other ORs allocate call
What's your on-call schedule?
If you go to the OR forum and scroll all the way to the bottom, you'll find a search bar that only searches within the OR forum, so you can find more threads that way as well.
My facility's call is on a sign up basis. Our staff with the exception of cardiac surgery sign up for 1 8-hour block per week. Weekend call is assigned to the group scheduled for the weekend. There's not really any rhyme or reason- it's first come, first served. Can't imagine why, but when the sign up sheets are posted, there's always a crowd at the desk jockeying for position.

I take call in the ER. It is not cool. LOL. Each staff member is required to be on call for 2 eight hour shifts every 6 weeks.
If you work 630-1900 you take call from 630-1430
If you work 1030-2300 you take call from 1030-1900 or 1430-2300
If you work 1430-0300 you take call from 1430-2300
If you work 1830-700 you take call from 1830-0300 or 2300-0700
Being on call is annoying, but necessary.
One on call day has to be a weekend shift (Sat or Sunday) and the other day has to be a Monday-Wednesday.
