Call pay varies greatly from institution to institution and from state to state. I've only heard of hourly compensation for on call time.

Our dpt did away with on call because we're close to fully staffed. However, we would get $4/hr while on call and time and half if we were called in.

In our ER we take 12 hours of call every four weeks and we get $2/hour but time and a half (minimum 2 hours) if we are called in.

I just moved from a salaried job where I had 16 hours call per week and was not paid for it and did not get paid to come in.

When I worked for Hospice, we received half our hourly wage. When I worked at the hospital, it was $2.00/hr.
