I'm about to pass out from not knowing if I passed or not. I promise to you I feel as if I failed. I walked out of there KNOWING I failed. The questions were worded differently than Saunders and Lippincott. For example, I'm not posting this question from word to word but one question I know I got wrong is: What does cystic fibrosis stools look like?" I put "Clay colored and pasty" but I believe I was wrong. It dawned on me afterwards that I was supposed to put "frothy, and foul smelling", right? On questions I didnt know, I just guessed. And also, I went up to 205!!! Some questions were repeated but with different scenarios. Does that mean I got them wrong if they kept coming in a row of questions?? I.E: "What would you tell the patient about the med Aldactone?" and "what would you tell the patient about the med keflex?" Man, I'm going crazy. I REALLY feel that I failed but only time will tell. HELP!!!!!!! :smackingf

You may have been correct with the cystic fibrosis question because they asked what does it LOOK LIKE and the explanation of 'frothy and foul smelling' is a combination of appearance and scent. With Aldactone, I probably would have told them that it was a potassium sparing diuretic and not to use salt substitutes, or looked for symptoms of hyperkalemia, maybe looked at some of the foods that had potassium in it and said to avoid them. Maybe with the antibiotic, it may be to either take it exactly as directed see if they have an allergy to penicillin because it is a cephalosporin, maybe to report diarrhea. You may not have done as bad as you think...most people walk out of there is a daze and think that they failed. The questions were totally unrecognizable to me as well...nothing like the genre that I was used to playiing around with. But, think positive. With making it to 205, it at least shows that the computer was working with you. Keep us posted and best of luck!

You'll do great! Every test that I've ever taken in my life I went in there confident, knowing I'd do well and when they slap the puppy down in front of me I go "Oh sheesh!" and just pretty "know I failed". But if you applied your self and at least had a go at it (which you did) I'm sure you'll get it back and you'll be in shock that you passed!
The NCLEX is very stressful and I'm sure every nurse felt this way! You'll do fine and be sure to keep us updated.

I guess by now you have your results, but I wanted to let you know that
I felt the same way as you about the questions they were definitely worded differently than in Saunders and I felt just like you when I left there, like I had failed, but guess what I passed the first time with only 85 questions. Always believe in yourself as you know more and retain more than you think you do.

Could someone tell me where to go or what ever for my nCLEX review. I live in Ct but go to school in Mass. I want to take Mass's test and do resaprosity for CT. Gee I hope that I spelled that word right.
Shantae, go to http://www.pearsonvue.com and sign in with your username and password and when you are signed in find the page where you can get your unofficial results and this will let you know, but I want to let you know the result you'll see is not your official result. You will receive your official results from the Pearson vue center.
This is what I did so I would pretty much know before receiving my official results.
While you are on the site look for frequently asked question section to see how long it will be before you receive your official results. Hope this helps and best of luck. Let us know when you find out.
awww man, I forgot my username and password. Its too late to call Pearson.
Go back to the Pearson site and just click on forgot username and password and they will email your username and password to you. It is not too late to sign in and get your unofficial results they remain available on the site for awhile after you have taken the NCLEX. Let us know how it goes.
I clicked forgot your password and I had to enter my username which I don't know. Omg, I need help.

Shantae..
You cannot get quick (unofficial) results in california..they do not participate in this program. Unfortunately you have to wait for the mail and let me tell you they are lagging. I just got my results yesterday and it was almost 4 weeks. I wish there was a quicker way for you cause I know how dreadful the wait is, but there isn't. Just keep yourself busy!
