When I was in LPN school my Psychiatric nursing instructor told me about an older movie that gave a good idea of how psychiatric care was a long time ago. I cannot remember the name of it since it has been a few years since she told me about it. I know it is a very vague description but mabye some of you will have an idea of what movie she was talking about.

There are lots of old movies that have a more-or-less accurate depiction of how psychiatric care was in the past. It's hard to narrow it down.
One that comes to mind is "The Snake Pit."
That was what it was, Thank you!
I believe it's about the old "Bedlam" hospital, and probably has alot of Hollywood drama added...

There are a lot of old movies that depict psychiatric treatment and the perceived creepiness of it.
One of my favorites is Captain Newman, M.D. with Gregory Peck. There are so many out there though. The Peck movie isn't creepy.
