how old were you when you decided to become a nurse?

(sorry if this thread has been discussed ad neausem, but I couldn't find any others that were specific to this question)... how old were you when you decided to become a nurse? And at what age did you start studying to be one? I'll be 29 next week (ack! almost at the big 30! :mad:), and I know I'm not too old to become one, I'm just curious at what ages people started. Thanks :)

lifeguard at disney... photography school 1st college degree...built mini golf courses...then stay at home momma and photography business...always considered going back to college to be a nurse... husband got sick and i have kids to take care of...from college to preschool...just graduated at age 48... may 2010 :nurse: starting my new career in the er in mid july

Decided when I was about 10 and my younger brother was hospitalized for brain surgery. Went away to college at 18, and got my license at 22. :-)

Never too old! I graduated @ 41 and plan on getting my NP license.....probably won't happen til I'm 50, but I'm ok with that.

I knew ever since I was in kindergarten that I wanted to be a nurse. So when I was 21 I started for the prereqs. And when I was 23 I started nursing. And at 25 I had my degree.
