Living In OKC for 9 years originally from a little town west of here El Reno, moved to Texas in about 85 and moved back to OKC 94. Currently work at St. Anthony Hospital CCU, we are a 28 bed two flor unit that take CCU and ICU patients We attempt to Make 4th floor Cardiac and 3rd floor Intensive but it is all really just a mix. I just finished my ADN program last May and passed boards July 1st I was an LPN for 8 years prior to getting RN

Hi Wanabern! I can't really answer your question about working in obstetrics or pediatrics, but just wanted to say Hi to a close neighbor! I've just finished up my 1st year in the Nursing Program at CASC at the Sallisaw Campus... starting 3rd semester this fall! Congratulations on getting through those pre reqs and I wish you the best of luck in being selected in the Program!

not a Nurse, but a brandnew Recruiter at a OK Hospital. I am originally from Germany and did my "time" at a surgery ward there. I love this forum to learn about the differences in schools etc in OK and some of the issues nurses are having. I am already thinking myself to start nursing school or at least Healthcare Administration. Love, love Healthcare, I have worked in that field for the past 10 years. Oh, I also made my Spa and Wellness Consultant in Germany and grew up around Naturopathic and Holistic Practioning.

Living in Ok now since 2006, great hubby and wonderful dogs.
