Is it official official?
Um... pretty much. People that took the boards this morning... their license is now active.. while mine still says temp. And, I have a registered letter at the post office waiting for me to pick up tomorrow most likely with the whole 'you failed' thing. So, yeah, I would say its official. One person that took it yesterday with me is now active and two girls took it this morning and are both active. I dont think its a mistake. =(
And, I know its not the end of the world. Having to study and better prepare myself for round two isn't going to hurt me at all. It just going to suck. But all in all, I figure this will just prepare me to be a better nurse in the long run. Having a better understanding/knoweldge to fall back on instead of just getting lucky and passing the first time. Plus now, I'm demoted to a nurse extern... so I'll actually have the chance to see some stuff and know how to relate it back to the test instead of just seeing words/diseases and only being able to remember what i've 'read' about them. So hearing the words, seeing the diseases and having 45 days to recoup/prepare will hopefully be what i need in order to pass number 2.

AShley, I'm sorry to hear about your news. You do have a good outlook and I encourage you to hold on that with your next try.
Suzanne4, the moderator of this group, has a really super program for those taking the NCLEX. She has a VERY high pass rate. Send a PM to Suzanne4, in it include your email address, what you used to study for the NCLEX. She'll be able to get you set up with her program.
Best of luck to you next time... you WILL pass it. :)
Thank you so much. I had read about suzanne4 earlier today and already pm'd her. =) I knew when I walked out it wasn't good... so I started planning the next step.
... I CAN do all things thru christ. His plan differed from mine a little bit this week and later on I"m sure I'll see the benefits. as always.. he knows what he's doing.. more so than I do. =)

wait a mintue dont give hope yet it can take up to 2 to 30 days for your name to show up dont belive it till you get the letter in your hand keeping my fingers crossed for you
Thank you all for your reply's. =) It's comforting to know I'm definitely not the only one who hasn't passed first time around.
For all of you that did Suzanne's plan .. other than the first tip what was included? I only have 5 weeks to get prepared and retest. =( So, I dont think I even have time to fully do her plan. But, is there anyway that I could do most of what she suggests in the next 4-5 weeks? For my job, I have to retest asap because they are allowing me to keep my benefits, etc for this temp. position as a nurse extern... while i wait out the 45 days to test again.
I have the saunders book/cd. And I just went and got Mosby's pharm memory note cards. So hopefully with those I'll be able to fully prepare myself. =)
Thanks again!
Aymchelle: I definitely know how you feel! Let us know how you did when you know. =) .. Although I had a feeling that i KNEW i had failed.. (almost 95% sure) It didn't really hit me until I knew those other people had passed and that I really did fail. So the only word that describes this whole thing is that it sucks. But I"m excited to study ( haha!) and get this thing over with and pass at the end of July!! =)
