Im currently working on ls3 and i have read about how hard it is everywhere. I was wondering if anyone who has previously taken it could tell me what exactly that is referring to? What is hard about ls3??
Any advice would be helpful- Thank you!!
I will be right there with you next week on LS2 Loops. And West how did LS2 go??ETA: I am going to go get dressed now so I can take LS3, everyone pray if you pray pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Sorry to hear you didn't pass it... I made a D on LS2. I should have re-sechedule nut I couldn't any spot so took a chance... had lots of ? on alzheimers and nutrition yap nutrition & all I focused on was insulin insulin and more insulin lol not one ? on insulin noe diabetes just my look.... we'll make it, took practice A for LS3 last night got a 68% going to study and pray I pass... let me know 'bot the study group for ls2 would love to join you guys.... (ps. sorry for any mistyped my 9month also using the keyboard lol
I think the LS2 Fontaine Mental Health Nursing book has poorly defined nursing interventions. I have to really hunt and sift through redundant info to try and get a clear picture of specific interventions and I really can't find much other than alternative therapies so I am in search of other resources.
Sorry you didn't pass. I'm taking mine again in about a week and a half and it will be my third attempt! I agree with you on that the study guides and practice exams didn't help me prepare. I felt like the test was complete opposite of what I studied. This time I'm using Saunders, group 101 notes and slot of prayers. Good luck on the rest of your exams and on ls3 again
I only have LS2, and LS3 left. I retake LS2 in two weeks and then LS3 in probably 30 or 60 days depending on what they allow. I'm sorry westpalm, well next time you should have the insulin version and I will have the nutrition version and we are destined to pass right. I'm very disappointed that I can get 70-90% on all the saunders but still not score high on the exams.
Good luck brenan, westpalm, loops, beachie, everyone

What did you use to study MsPC? Here is the one problems I fell Saunders has, in fact, I just posted this on EPN a half hour ago; I think that the review questions that Saunder's has are too easy--do you know what I mean? I was able to whip through my review questions at the end of my corresponding chapters in Saunders and get virtually 100% and THEN I hit the sample exam in the back of the EC content guide--total bomb in the psych portion!! Saunder's isn't tricky enough--not like the Excelsior exams. Did you have the Smelzters Med-Surg book? I know that may be a silly question, but I was using Phipps awhile back, and Smelzter was so much better. I will post the next time we have a study group. Both Liz and I testing LS2 on Friday, so hopefully we will have a couple this week :)

you are so right, i did so well on the saunder's that i thought i should be fine (even though my gut was telling me to re-schedule) good luck next friday!!!!
nothing hard about it. i only passed with a C', but did it within 2 1/2 weeks. the key to all the exams is to purchase the practice exam which will almost guarantee a pass. i did a nursing theory exam every month. i spent 3 weeks studying and last week or couple of days reviewing the practice exam.
