Now what? Anyone know who is hiring RNs with one year of nursing exp?
(the exp is in LTC, by the way. I know to some hospitals that may not even count!)
But I recall all the job fairs I used to go to when I graduated. EVeryone was like "get your 1 year of exp first". Ok well now I got it. Sorta.
Any tips? Suggestions?

Jobs are scarce right now. I recently relocated to North Jersey from South Jersey. I had 3 1/2 yrs experience and it took me a couple months to find a job. My advice? Stay at your current job and apply everywhere. It is easier to find a job when you have a job. Also if you know you want to work in a hospital, don't be picky. Even if you don't like nights, you can start at nights and switch to days. Even if you don't like med/surg you can start there and switch.
Thanks for the response. Yeah, I totally plan to stay here while I look. Was just trying to gauge how hard it was ging to be to find a hospital job.....and well, from what you say its even hard for "exp" nurses. YIkes.
