I learned several weeks ago I have been accepted into the OHSU Monmouth BSN program that will start this Fall (2013). I am hoping to find and meet others in the same program so we don't have to wait until orientation. :)

Hello all!

Glad to see more people are discovering each other on here. I actually live in Monmouth with my fiance. I attended WOU for the past four years, I started working on LACC's and ended up realizing nursing was actually what I was passionate about. Finally completed my prerequisites and am so grateful to be starting school at OHSU! It was my second year applying, so I was definitely feeling intimidated at first. Hello everyone! My name is Lori and I too received my acceptance call from the Dean of admissions on the 19th of April. So I will be joining all of you in the fall! Yay, I am so excited. I'm trying really hard not to put an explanation point at the end of each sentence. Lol.

I'll tell you all a little about myself, I am 28 and I have a two year old daughter. I live in NE Salem. I can't wait to get to know all of you and was hoping that maybe we could get together before our orientation at the end of September.

My name's Audrey and right now I'm living in Spain, but I'll see you guys come fall!!

I can't remember who mentioned scrubs but where did you find the requirements for things we need? I'm doing all the fun stuff on immunizationtracker but that's all I've got so far!

Its so nice to meet you Audrey! I am sending our a requested to our facebook page right now. We have a couple good convos going about all the requirement stuff there too. We have all introduced ourselves there a little and are getting to know each other, I am so glad you found this forum!

I think e had until the 14th to secure our seat so I would assume this week. You can always call or e-mail though and someone will let you know!!!

Hello! I read on a separate forum that the OHSU-PDX cohort had only 24 students. I do not know whether this was the ABSN program or the 3-year program. I will be applying to nursing schools this coming year and am trying to decide between the Portland and Monmouth OHSU programs. Have any of you heard how many students will be participating in your program this year?

Hi there, my name is Becca, and I too will be joining all of you this fall at OHSU Monmouth.

I am a 36 year old mother of three, having just moved my daughter to her first year of college!

I live in Eugene and will be commuting for the most part. I hope to find a room to rent closer to Monmouth as the year progresses, but at this point in time I am not going to stress too much about that.

Life has been absolutely amazing, and I am certain it will continue down the path of amazingness!! Good luck to you all, and look forward to meeting in person at orientation!

Its nice to 'meet' you! If you are on facebook find our facebook page there is about half of our cohort there now! I think a lot of us are going to make it to the get together August 15th at WOU, I hope you can make it! I live in Albany because my fiance works in Eugene, that is quite the commute but I bet you can find a room pretty easily!

OHSU School of Nursing-Monmouth Class of 2016 is the fb page if you want, I am the admin on it so if you have any problems shoot me message!
