Hi everyone. I applied to the CRNA program at OHSU starting in 2022. Wondering who else has applied and if anyone has heard anything back yet?!

I believe everyone who is to be invited for an interview for this cohort has been notified

Did you already confirm that with someone?

I emailed regarding my application status with OHSU and the reply in part said "Thank you for emailing us. The CRNA program sent out interview invitations earlier this morning. If you did not receive an invite, then it is safe to assume that the program is not moving forward with your application."

That being said, you may want to confirm for yourself. Best of luck.

Anybody heard what interviews will be like?

Good luck everyone, I was accepted to my number one program so I won’t be attending but I hope everyone kills the interview !

I received an invite for interview. Mine is on January 10th. I am very nervous as I know someone within the 2021 cohort. They will GRILL you hard and even play mind games to make you loose your confidence. This is the first interview I've ever had but I also have an interview at Rosalind later on. fingers crossed, if anyone has advice id love it!

This makes me so sad. Reading this comment a few days ago really psyched me out because I'm already so nervous as it is. I would appreciate any advice that can be given! I have joined some CRNA prep communities, but none of them seem to help. For now I'm just reviewing my CCRN notes T_T

Take a deep breath, think through the questions, don’t *** if you don’t know. Make sure you understand the drugs and modalities you use inside and out.

I have the materials from allcrna schools and some others. Pm me and I can send you the questions and such. Also practice them out loud.

I tried DMing and the site isn’t letting me?

but thanks guys. This is sort of my “last chance”. I have applied and applied over the years to many schools and I always panic at the interview level and then don’t get it. I want this very badly, but it’s been rough and this is my last shot before I decide to walk away from the anxiety. It’s stupid to me that you play mind games during an interview, especially since that’s not indicative of real life ?? either way, I want to get in as this is my #1 school and is close(ish) to home.

I’m focusing on CV, respiratory, shock, and code situations with my studying; have yet to prep for personality questions ?

Honestly, some of it is real life, anesthesia is hard, you deal with some real anxiety at clinical with them always questioning you, surgeons being their typical surgeon selves (sorry to the surgeons who are super nice and personable) and you are expected to be on it all the time. I would try to do some mock interviews as that helps decrease the anxiety for many. I did one, then at my first interview I did well and got into my number one school.  I think the panel wants to see how you do with adversity as it says a lot about someone’s character and ability to persevere.
