OHSU BSN PDX program applicants - 2010

Hi,

Anyone else out there getting anxious to hear from OHSU's Portland campus for their BSN program? They said they'll notify in early May which is still a month away, but I just want to know now! It's my first time applying and the only program that I applied to this year, so I'm not counting on it.

Anyone have any idea how long the alt list is?

My friend just called OHSU to find out the true meaning of being on the alternate list.

She was told that there were over 900 applicants, and basically that being on the alternate list is a good sign (meaning that they find you to be a very strong candidate, just as they say on their letter).

She did call to find out how many people were put on the alternate list, and was told that they are waiting for responses from people that were offered that option (the alternate list that is).

They will know the number of alternates on the 15th of May.

oakandruby: Me too!! Did you not receive a letter yet today from Portland? I live in Seattle so I assume I may receive mine on Monday anyway but I wonder if they're waiting on the Portland campus letters because I haven't seen or heard from anyone who's heard anything from that location yet. They probably got the largest number of applicants too...

I know!! Still waiting- I really hope it is in the mailbox today! Seems like there has been a lot of letters received in the past two days. I am nervous about what they are going to say!

Minor correction:

I just looked at my alternate reservation form, and it is asking to return the form by 15th of June, so I think my friend was probably told that they will know the the number of alternates by the 15th of June.
