Hi! I recently applied to the 2018-2019 BSN program at OHSU, specifically the Monmouth campus. I keep looking to see if anyone has started a thread for this upcoming year and haven't found one. I'd love to connect with other applicants and keep each other updated on our processes.
Anyone hear any updates? Also, what are anyone's plans if they don't get in?
Any other schools your are thinking of trying next time?
I am looking at and planning where I might be applying next time in case I don't hear back.
No nothing yet that I know about. My guess is that we won't hear anything for a while. I believe they have until early-mid June to accept (I think?), and I assume some are waiting to hear back from other schools to weigh all options. I likely won't be applying to any OCNE programs for next year if I do not get in this go around. I'll finish my BS pretty quick and aim for accelerated and maybe even graduate track programs. You?
Yea, I know some people are waiting to hear back from PCC before making a decision. Happen to know when PCC is supposed to get back to people?
I may apply to some OCNE programs again next year. I havent quite decided. I am also thinking about potentially choosing a school somewhere else and maybe moving. My sister would love it if I found a school in California, but I don't know.

PCC is supposed to be sending out emails on May 21st, so 2 weeks from yesterday. If you don't mind moving or care which school you are going to, I would apply anywhere and everywhere. I can't move and won't uproot my family so I plan to stay around here BUT I do regret only applying to two schools. I should have and could have applied to more of the local programs around here and commuted a little if needed. I think the PCC admits have until June 15th to send in their deposit and acceptance so I have a feeling it will be at least 2-3 weeks before people in the highly likely category at OHSU start getting calls unless their are more declines than usual. Who knooooooooows...
Makes sense.
I want to apply to a lot of schools, it is just really expensive to even apply to all of them.
I also have to make sure I have all the pre-requisites since those outside of the OCNE program have random other things they need sometimes.
I am thinking I need to make my decision of where I want to focus my applications by about the end of June/ beginning of July, since if I move it would be nice to be able to try to get in-state tuition.

Ya that would be smart. I have had all of my OCNE prereqs done for a while now and have been working on others for UP, Linfield, GF, etc. I have also been taking some gen-ed for my BS so I can get that done sooner than later. I would talk to an advisor (do you go to PCC?) or at whichever school you go to and have them layout what you would need for the other local schools here. They definitely have that info available or can get it for you. That is what I did as well as contacting each school and they put me on the right track. The PSU pre-nursing and Health Studies/Sciences advisors are awesome too by the way and respond quickly. How many are accepted for PCC again? 40 and then 40 alternates?

Gpa can't be the only factor though so just stay optimistic because you never really know! My gpa was slightly lower than yours and they considered me "moderately likely" so don't give up especially if that's truly where you want to go!!
I wish pcc didn't wait so long. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, for both schools.
