Hi all I just thought I would start this, since there doesn't appear to be anything started for the Fall 2017 3 year BSN at OHSU. Feel free to update as you get emails regarding interviews, acceptances, etc. This week it looks like everyone should be hopefully getting a email hearing something if they are chosen for a interview. I wonder if due to the lack of any posts for the Fall 2017 that means that competition isn't as fierce as in prior cycles... this is probably not the case. But it seems like the cohort has been alot more quite then in the past.
Hey! Current OHSU 3 yr Portland student. I applied to OHSU, Mt. Hood, PCC and CCC last year and got all of my interview invitations and acceptance letters throuhh their respective emails!
So I know it's not a good sign if we haven't heard from them at this point, but how late in the game will we receive a rejection email? Is it worth it to call admissions (for a waitlist #..?)
I have to decide on another school with a deadline

I believe I was actually in your interview group last year. I was the one in the middle with a pink top. Do you have any tips for what I should be doing differently for the interview process at ohsu?

I remember! I would say that as a class we have discussed how our interview processes went alot and a major theme that came up was referencing experience but not only one. Like, if you're a CNA, talk about it but also bring in other relevant experiences or ideas. A small number of people actually have healthcare experience and it is helpful and they like to hear about it, but it should definitely not be the only thing you talk about. I think we all decided we knew pretty quickly who was going to get accepted by their confidence level. 3 people from our group are in the cohort now. I knew right away that 1 would be accepted and felt less confident but they told me they thought the same. It's stressful but let them know what a great nurse you will be by showing them your confidence and telling your story without being reheorificed.
