OHSU Accelerated Program Ashland 2017

Hi there! I wanted to jump on the thread and share info I received from admissions...I applied to the Portland AccBacc program and didn't receive an interview, but was curious if all invites had gone out. Here is the info I got back from admissions:

"Thank you for contacting the OHSU School of Nursing. The first round of applicants have been selected for interviews. All applicants will be notified of whether or not they are chosen for an interview, but other applicants can still be called in for an interview if necessary. Admissions decisions will be sent out shortly after interviews have concluded."

They didn't clarify if this was just Portland, so maybe Ashland invites haven't gone out yet? Congrats to those who will be interviewing!

I got the same exact response verbatim! I also asked for clarification on whether people have been selected, but not necessarily notified yet? Maybe I'm just being overly hopeful though...

I feel ya! Since they say we'll be notified either way, I'm not completely losing hope until I receive an email saying they're done with interviews and I wasn't accepted.

So, I asked for clarification about the notifications and this was the response:

"Thank you for contacting the OHSU School of Nursing. Invitations to the interviews should go out by early next week!"

So, looks like we've got another week :)

Thanks for the info! Did you apply to the Ashland campus? If so, I hope you get an interview invite soon!

I saw on another thread that an applicant called in to check on her status (because she didn't receive the interview email), and found out she was picked to interview! So it doesn't hurt to check in with them. I know that I wasn't picked for the first round, and in the off chance they do a second round of interviews, those invites wouldn't go out until after the first interviews are conducted in early March. It's a bummer to not be picked for the first round, but at least now I have a more defined timeline!

I received my invitation for an interview, for the Ashland program, this morning! (2/10)

I asked specifically if we would be notified if we were not chosen to interview, and they said all notifications will be sent out after they have made admission decisions. In other words, if you were not chosen for an interview, as far as I understand, you are not informed until after the interviews have been conducted and the process is over.

Thank you! I applied to Ashland, and got my interview invite today. I hope you get an interview invitation for the second round! It seems really competitive this year, especially for the Portland campus. Good luck through this whole process!! You'll make it in somewhere soon, I'm sure :)

Hey all,

Another Portlander here. Looks like people have received invitations to interview as well as some have received a letter stating they have not been selected for the first round. What's odd is that I have not received anything from them. Anyone else still in silence?

Hi @GoBeavs728! I only heard about not making the "first round" because I reached out to the admissions office. I say "first round" in quotes because I personally haven't heard of the accelerated program doing a second round of interviews. But maybe I'm wrong! Unfortunately, if you're not picked to interview, I don't believe they send any correspondence until the interviews are over and admission decisions are made. This is just my understanding, so anyone can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong :)
