I can’t find a thread for this program so figured I would start one. I was wondering if anyone has got a confirmation their application was received?

I'm in the accelerated program and I'll share a few of my thoughts. I was exactly where you are now, this time last year. Liz is giving you the most honest advice...it's hard to prepare completely for the interview, let alone an accelerate nursing program.

On paper, I barely met all the criteria for the application...barely. I received an email inviting me to interview! 350+ people applied to the program and I was picked to interview?! Unreal. My undergraduate GPA was poor, and I was doing what you are doing right now. Pouring over posts, trying to get a sense of the application pool, stressed about the interview, feeling grateful I was invited for an interview, but am I even in the running? My wife and I were planning on how we were move to Philadelphia, New York, and other back up schools that I had been accepted to up to that point. I almost wrote myself off. What made the difference? I knew my goal had been the OHSU ABSN program, I knew why I wanted to be a nurse, and I knew I could accept the challenge of the ABSN.

The biggest lesson I took away from the interview process? You are competing against yourself. Best of luck!

Hey! I applied to the Ashland campus. I'm a bit of a nerd, so I did some calculations based on past threads and the number of days between when Portland and Ashland applicants get emails, and I think we should be finding out between the 15th and the 22nd this year ?

Haha I did the same, I think we're all probably nerds here! I am just being impatient and want to hear back! Good luck - hopefully we'll both get good news next week!

Hey all!

Congratulations to everyone who got an interview invitation! I was just wondering how long they gave you to respond to the invitation? Just seeing if there’s any way they will be sending out more invites if/when people decline.

The deadline to respond (for Portland at least) was 2/12. I think it’s possibly for more invitations to come depending on how many people decline?

Hey! I called OHSU today. I haven’t gotten an invite yet either, but they said they sent out a second wave today. They’re expecting all spots to be filled after this, but she said there’s always a *chance* we could hear something Tuesday next week, but very unlikely unfortunately ?

I got an interview invitation for Portland on 2/12, and the deadline they gave me to respond is 2/16. So people might still decline, don't give up hope yet!

I was rejected from every other school I applied to other than OHSU, and after getting an interview offer and reading these forums, I was sure I was never going to get in. If I learned anything from the application and interview process, they are very thoughtful in their selections, and they really want to get a comprehensive picture of each candidate. So, just be authentic. Maybe you have never worked in healthcare before - you still have a wealth of non-healthcare experiences that you can (and will) take to your practice as a nurse! Don't doubt yourself and your experience in light of others - your unique experience holds so much value.

I just got a phone call today accepting the OHSU ABSN-FNP in Portland! I'm so honored and humbled that they chose me. Best of luck, everyone!

Hello! I’m brand new here, and brimming with questions. Congratulations to all who applied, interviewed, or received acceptance!

I received a voicemail from OHSU on the 13th with my acceptance into the PMHNP program! Does anyone know when we receive letters with official enrollment information?

I’m excited to hear from or meet you all!

That seems so fast! Congratulations! Did you interview early or on the 13th for the ABSN-FNP? I interviewed on 2/13 but felt like I totally bombed the interview! They said they’d get back to everyone within 2 weeks.
