OHIO STATE -FNP traditional masters 2017

Published

Hi everyone!

I thought I would start a thread for everyone that is applying to the FNP traditional masters program for 2017! I have heard from many that the wait is anxious and long. I also just talked to a lady at the graduate college of nursing and she stated that this year everyone will be receiving an interview as it will be part of now the general application process. I was told by my friends that got admitted last year that getting an offer to interview was stating that you were competitive enough, but it seems this year it is now standard. I am super anxious! I applied to the online FNP, does anyone have any idea how many students they admit for the online program? My GPA is at 3.1, I have four years of RN experience, and I feel strongly about my letter of intent and my recommendations. The lady I spoke to today said that they have let in some with a GPA as low as mine but she also said it was their statement and recommendations that pulled them through. I'm hoping I get pulled through!! But I honestly have doubts. What does everyone else's credentials look like? What have you heard about the admission process this year? I would love to hear from other candidates, and wish everyone the best of luck!! Hopefully a good start to a new year for all of us!

Anyone know if the decline posts prior to the acceptances? I have applied for the PMHNP program. I am still pending.

Anyone think tomorrow or next Friday?

I stopped looking at my email! Disappointed they take so long... everyone else I know heading back to school in the fall has been accepted for weeks. I'm going to guess that it won't be posted tomorrow í ½í¸†í ½í¸”

I just got their decision on the app status website. I was declined. Good luck to all of you!! :)

No way!!! Are you serious? Honestly what are they looking for? This is ridiculous... I just checked and I'm still pending.

I'm so sorry!!

It's okay! They accept less than half of their applicants and I'm sure we are all qualified for the program. They're just SUPER selective. I'm not sure what the exact thing they look for when scanning our applications haha. I'd love to know!

Did anyone go to one of their symposiums about the program they held last year?

I too received my "not accepted" status change this morning. I knew that OSU was extremely competitive but still had high hopes that I'd be selected. I'd be curious to know how they make their decisions as well. Best of luck to everyone!

Ahhhh omg I'm sorry!!! What is going on!!

I got in!! Just posted on mine!!

Congrats thats amazing!!
