First semester is over. To say I am relieved is an understatement. 1 semester down 3 more to go. Cheers to those who made it through another semester. Happy Holidays and a great New Year to you all
Hi NS Bubbly26,The weed out semester is every semester on my campus. It's frustrating but I'm rolling with it. I have an exam on 18 chapters and 10 meds the first week of class... I just received my mental health book today. A fun trick my campus likes to play is to wait until the day before class begins to send out the syllabus. This time I'm ready to rock and roll (literally) lol.
One of my instructors would send us a powerpoint of the slides for Monday's 1230 class on Monday about 930AM... When classes started at 0830 and run till 1120. Our syllabi are on Blackboard and aren't available until the first day of the semester. Lots of fun. :-p
First semester: 40% of all of our nursing classes, 35% of all of our nursing hours. Second semester: looks to be far more relaxed, relatively speaking (Mental Health and M/S II, both plus clinicals) All I have to say is that this better prepare us well for the NCLEX!
Best, all!
