Hello Beautiful People! I am so excited to be part of your ranks! I just signed on with MSN (to use as my full time gig) and I will be picking up my first shift (an orientation at a facility) Thursday. This seems like it will better fit my schedule because I do private duty and those hours vary week to week and I have small children. But mostly, I love the chance to go new places, meet new people, not deal with the daily drama of staff, and I make more money! Do you nurses do agency full time or as a supplement to your staff job?

I hope you are as happy being an agency nurse as I have bee. I have worked full time agency for over 3 years now and unless there is a big change in my circumstances I do not forsee going back to staff.
I love just getting to go in and be a nurse. I do not have to become enmeshed in the drama and politics. I love the variety of going place to place. I also love having the controll of setting my own schedule around my family rather than vice-versa. Now that said I always tell folks my availability may vary based on how broke I am on a given week.
Good luck to you.

Hi! I'm a full-time agency nurse, mainly ER, but I also do some other areas from time-to-time. You can't beat the variety or the scheduling! Oh, and the money is nice too, but for me it's not everything. I'm sure you'll like it!!
