I have a macbook air with microsoft office for mac. I am just having trouble setting up a paper in APA format. When I bought the mac I was told that the microsoft for pc was very similar to the one for mac. However, this is not true. They layout is very different and it is very difficult to set the paper up the proper way. I love using mac books. Any suggestions on what processing software to use that is the best for making papers into APA format?

Seconded. I still always checked the format of my references, but PERRLA was a godsend for formatting the document itself.

There is a great YouTube video that shows you how to set up Word on A Mac for APA. Not sure why you are having probs. I have a MacBook and Microsoft office and have had no problems.

Switching processors should never be done right before a paper is due. Any time you change programs, there will be a bit of a learning curve. While Office for Mac and Windows have the same name, they are significantly different. Office for Mac can format an APA paper just fine though. Just take some time to click through all of the options and find where they are.
