I went to a job fair for RN’s on Saturday at a local hospital and was offered a job by the CNO. I was elated and filled out the basic paperwork and told I’d be contacted by the recruiter. I neglected to ask for a time frame. Have any of you been hired this way and how long should I expect to wait? They had me apply for the exact position’s online posting and told me they would be in touch. I’m excited but also nervous about getting the position. Any advice?thanks.

That is exciting. ?? It's anyone's guess when you will hear more, though; it really depends on factors such as how many people ended up applying, how smooth their process is for going through applications and what their overall culture and philosophy is. It wouldn't be surprising to hear from the recruiter next week or even this week, since that is a very basic early step in the process, but again depending upon how they roll it could be (much) longer.
One thing to keep in mind is that there is a very good chance this was not actually a job offer, but rather a statement of being interested in considering you for the position.
Be positive but also realistic with these things. ? Good luck!!

Yay! That’s exciting! I would wait a week and follow up.
Now I’m nervous! She literally said, “I would like to offer you the position”, so I assumed it was a pretty sure thing. It is my dream position, so I’m hoping it works out I’ll call tomorrow, how long have others waited to hear from HR? Thanks

The CNO might be enthusiastic but perhaps does not really have the power to hire you on the spot. That is why you were directed to apply to the online posting just like everyone else so you can be vetted, sorted and lined up for consideration.

I don't know how long it will take, but since you've been offered a position it is completely reasonable that you call and ask.
Congrats!
