ODU concurrent fall 2015

Published

has anyone applied to ODU for fall 2015? if you did, you can see they gave you the option to choose traditional BSN or riverside concurrent. I work with riverside and was told the concurrent program would be now getting an AAS from riverside while attending odu for your bsn. I was just wondering did anyone apply, and what was your gpa, hesi score , etc. I currently go to TNCC in hampton, finished all my pre-reqs except chemistry & sociology (currently taking), have the experience as a CNA and Anesthesia Technician, the only thing is that my hesi score was an 82% and my gpa is currently a 3.1 (thanks to C's in anatomy) Anyone else applying?

Janice Hawkins said that the letters were mailed today. So expect them Friday or Saturday if you're local!

Aw man! tomorrow I'm going to rush out of work to my mailbox haha. I wonder how long it will take for it to get to newport news

anyone knows what tuition would be?

Tomorrow can't come soon enough!

Riverside's tuition is $28,000. But you also have to factor in ODU's costs for the concurrent program.

I got my letter...I didn't get in just says it would take me into consideration for next year

I did not get in as well. I called to clarify about the concurrent program and was told that the letter ment it was a no from both. Very discouraged. But I am not done yet with this dream!

Me either!! TCC accepted my credits so I'll be waiting for that letter...in the meanwhile in planning to transfer to ODU with a minor so hopefully I'll bring my gpa up :nurse: I'll probably retake a science as well

I am so sorry to hear that ladies...

I would re-take any science classes you did not get an A in. A friend of mine also got a rejection letter, she has a 4.0 and has worked as a CNA-MA for 4 years. They must have had a TON of amazing 4.0 applicants. Not sure how far it is for you, but look into Paul D Camp RN program.

I decided to go the LPN route, my main goal is to be a nurse, if I have to take the long way, so be it. I graduate with my LPN in may and then straight into re-taking my A&P class so I can get that darn A. I hope to start the LPN-RN bridge next Summer.

Yep! Im thinking of retaking an A&P next year in the fall at odu if I do not get into TCC

Sorry to hear the news, ladies. I hope you get into your Plan B options.

I got my letter today. It came from ODU and says I am accepted for the concurrent program. I'm very excited, but truly wanted to get into ODU's main program, which the letter doesn't address.

Do you think acceptance into the concurrent program means I was declined for the other?

I have no idea. What was your GPA and hesi if you don't mind me asking?

87 on the HESI and my GPA is kind of tricky. I have attended multiple colleges since my husband is active duty military, so I'm not sure how to calculate it. My most recent GPA coming from TCC is 4.0.
