Nursing Students NCLEX

Updated:   Published

I took my NCLEX on Saturday and shut off at 85 questions. What are the posssibilities of failing at minimum questions? I read a post of someone who took it twice and failed twice at 85 questions. I'm getting sick to my stomach. HELP!

I hope you all passed!!! I got 87 Questions I felt so stupid like I didn't even go to nursing school--- I have this gut feelings that all my angles left me that day--- I bet I am one who failed with the min :( HELP

It's funny to sit here a read some of these replies number of questions dont matter I had all of them and passed as I read earlier there are a few that do have all the questions the only thing you can do is wait for the results. Think positive

Statistically, you are very likely to pass the NCLEX-PN. The vast majority of passers see the computer shut off between 87 and 120 questions. Therefore, 87 was a great number for the computer to cut off the testing.

Think positively. You are capable! ;)

When I took NCLEX mine too shut off at 85. I cried all the way home and was just sick. Guess what? I passed!!!! So don't freak out until you actually see the results!!! It's definately worth the 10 dollars it cost me to see my results online also. Hang in there.

I passed---------------------------------- WTF!!!! How!!!! I am too excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW-!:nurse:

I took the nclex on Thursday....it stopped at 85. I wasnt ready for it to quit, I was not at all feeling good about how I was doing.

I just :chair: knew I failed!! My hands were shaking, and I was thinking that I didnt learn anything, and how I was letting myself and everyone down that was supporting me. I felt sick to my stomach. Finally, I raised my hand, and was escorted out. My key shook as I tried to get in the locker. I wanted to smack the perky attendant, who told me to have a nice day. I wanted to cry.. I made a bee line to my car. I got in, and sat there thinking, what in the world did I just do? There is no way I can do this again. I just knew I blew it.

Today, I paid and got my results, and I passed. I PASSED.....

So......I know how it feels. Awful. But hang in there.

A fellow student of mine took the exam and it shut off at 85 questions. Her first thought was shake the monitor and say; "come on, ask me some more. I know I can get some right." She passed.

I hope I have that outcome! I took mine today and about died after it was over!! My computer cut off at 85!! I have heard thats good and have heard that can be bad! I wish I could relieve this anxiety!!

Just stay busy(exercise, watch movies, read books,)whatever you can do to keep your mind off of your exam. Think positive...4 of my classmates all said theirs stopped at 85 and they all passed!! I didn't see where you were located, so does your state participate in the quick results? California doesn't so I had to wait for mine to come in the mail(which I passed) which I had to wait 2 weeks, and usually the wait is 3 or more so I was happy..Good luck!!

I'm in Kentucky! we do have the quick results, I should find out tomorrow. How many questions did you have? I have heard people say 85 is good. Have you heard of anybody that failed at 85?!

I had 163 questions and thought I failed because see I moved out here right after graduation(from Michigan) and all of my friends in Michigan that took their boards all had 85 questions, and they all passed, so when my questions went past 85 I started to panic, but quickly thought to myself to keep it together and continued answering the questions. I think you did fine, so just stay busy and keep thinking positively, and you will know the results tomorrow! You will be in my thoughts!!
