Hello Everyone!

So is anyone here registered for the September 2011 class at Ocean County Votech for the LPN Program? I am, and I have to admit that I'm a little nervous. I've heard how difficult it is, but feel that if I'm dedicated and want it enough, there's no reason why I can't do it.

so glad i found this thread...i am starting sept 2011 as well.....very nervous...so worried about not having time to work full time amongst other things.looking forward to meeting all of you in person

Hi Meo814. I believe that when clinicals start 7-3 will be the hours. What Group did you get? I am so nervous...lol . I have group A.

Manda912...I'll be in group A as well. Congrats! I am quite excited too, I was wondering if I could ask a favor to anyone that will be in the Sept. 2011 upcoming class if someone could give me a copy of the medical abbreviations through e-mail?

XSHELL.....no problem! Just shoot me your email and I will send it to you :) There are many to memorize :)

Hi Maria,

Yes the letter states that normal hours are 8-4. I read somewhere in the paperwork along the way that these are the classroom/lab hours and when we start actual clinicals we will start at 7. I actually have been blessed with being able to quit my job and commit full time to school. I have saved ALOT :) I know lots of people that have completed this program as single mom's, worked full time, part time,...ect. So it is def. possible!I have been out of school for a very long time I am 32 years old and also very..very...slow when it comes to math. Maybe when can partner up when class starts and help eachother out :) As each day passes my stomach is getting tighter and tighter...lol. Good to know I am not the only one!!

Amanda :o

Hey Manda912! Don't worry about the medical terminology I finally found the terms and put them on index cards. Anyways does anyone now someone that had graduated from this program at this school? So manda912 & meo814 where you both from?

XSHELLZ.......I know of one person who graduated this year and just got hired at SOCH hospital. I live in Toms River. How about you? Are you ready?

Yes, I am absolutely ready because I was taking classes @ OCC for the RN program there. By any chance have you taken A&P already? I live here in Barnegat. Hopefully we can form a study group when clas

ses begins especially when quizzes/exams come up.

I have taken A&P 1 at OCC. I got only a C though so I think I may just re-take it in this program. I have not decided yet. Were you taking pr-reqs for the RN there or were you in the program?
