hello silverdragon! :)
i applied for california license. is it true that california bon require above passing rate in nclex compared to other states? thank you for your advice, ill keep an eye on that. :)
it is a national exam so the same for all states. everyone needs to pass to get a license. however you will not get a license as ca will not issue license without ssn and that you will not get without a valid work visa. much has been written about ca in the international forum as well as the sticky in this forum re california as they will destroy your file after 3 years and that means your nclex results are also destroyed.

huh?... if i didn't get SSN within 3 years my NCLEX will be destroyed and get back to zero?

Yes if you haven't provided a SSN or applied to another state and moved your NCLEX results across. Once file is destroyed then so are your results. With retrogression that will be highly unlikely that you will get SSN so would suggest before your 3 years are up you apply to another state. Strongly suggest you read the International forum

depends on the bon/brn you applied for initial licensure with.
we are seeing less and less hospitals petitioning foreign nurses due to the long wait. all you can do is try and keep an eye on the international forum (found under the region tab above on the yellow tool bar) where things are kept up to date on foreign nurses and the retrogression. also due to the long wait would more than likely prefer experience
