If you are taking NCLEX in October as I am here is a place to get motivated. As of today you have approximately 4-8 weeks to prepare for this life changing test. That is more than enough time if you haven't started yet.
Now crack open whatever review book you have and hit it because now is the time to begin. Start typing :typing those review sheets, looking over rationales start with the stuff you know you need help with and feel like because by the end of your study time you'll be up to the stuff you do know and you'll hopefully feel more comfortable at test time... or maybe you won't.
Anybody else motivating tips, or study tips for NCLEX
So after the run around with NY state losing my paperwork, getting my ATT late, and having to reschedule my exam twice... I took it today at 8am. I walked in not feeling very anxious, even though I have a ton of pressure to pass. I am working as a GN and I am basically off orientation and on my own (pending passing) on my next shift or so. Plus everyone I know kept telling me "You'll be fine!" ect... What if I am NOT?! My test anxiety has never been horrible, I go in get it done. But once I started going over 75 questions... I was like "Oh no." The entire ride home from Albany I was upset and a wreck. I only had 1 calculation, a bunch of SATA's... Meds I never even heard of and guessed on. Test shut off for me at 120-130ish... I left feeling like I was hit by a damn bus!So soon as I got home I tried the PVT and I got the pop up. So I am guessing I passed? It's accurate right? Reassurance would be great :) lol
CONGRATULATIONS!
I'm taking my exam on Saturday...for the second time. I did a review course this time around and found it helpful because I think I needed for content review. I got the ncsbn 3 weeks online session and the questions are good. They are the same format and style that real NCLEX is. I'm nervous and scared but I'm thinking positively and praying a whole lot.
Will keep you in my prayers!
Such a great feeling seeing that pop up huh? I keep logging in and checking because I can't believe it!
Time to invest in some new scrubs! I was holding off until I passed and knew I was keeping my position
Everyone else who still has yet to test this month, good luck! You will all be fine!!!!
Good luck everyone. Think we all need to know the content first. I am an international graduate and kaplan did not work for me after writting the exam twice now. I am doing sauders at the moment. It is well. Will keep praying for you guys.
I have heard that several times that if you know your content then you will pass. Good luck to you and will be praying for you.
