If you are taking NCLEX in October as I am here is a place to get motivated. As of today you have approximately 4-8 weeks to prepare for this life changing test. That is more than enough time if you haven't started yet.
Now crack open whatever review book you have and hit it because now is the time to begin. Start typing :typing those review sheets, looking over rationales start with the stuff you know you need help with and feel like because by the end of your study time you'll be up to the stuff you do know and you'll hopefully feel more comfortable at test time... or maybe you won't.
Anybody else motivating tips, or study tips for NCLEX
just took the nclex-rn today. got around 120 questions all on infection control, satas, drugs, priority, and peds. no med calc. then, i did the pvt and got the good pop up!!!!! thank you lord!!!!!!my confidence was totally shaken. i did not know what to think when i left the testing site.
but praise be to god!!!!
i too did the kaplan course. the kaplan course is closest to the nclex. the other nclex books i had did not seem to compare. those that are taking the nclex soon, i wish you well.
congratulations!
My Q bank average is terrible. 54%
My diagnostic was a 65%, my readiness was a 68%
QT1 - 47%
QT2 - 64%
QT3 - 59%
QT4 - 61%
QT5 - 61%
I hope I'm going to pass this test.
What I dont get... is sometimes when I submit my tests it says I have some that are unanswered. That makes zero sense to me because I select an answer for every single one and you cant even press the next button until you do!
I took test #1 on the nclex rn sample tests and it said I didnt answer 9 questions! I got a 52%
Its messing with my head because its throwing me off with what my ACTUAL scores are.
Im feeling more confident, however I still have a lot of Qbank to do and question trainer 6 and 7 before Tuesday at midnight.
any advice?

don't get frustrated if you get low scores in the qtrainers but rather read and understand the rationales.
with regards to you skipping some of the questions, don't worry because in the actual NCLEX you will not get pass a question without giving an answer. the computer will even warn you if you have not selected a choice/answer and you clicked next.

I have heard this several times and I have just been going over core content [Hurst and Exam Cram] and doing questions daily [50 or more]. I read the rationales even for the ones I get right and wrong. I wish you the best of luck and have faith in God!
hi cassyandra thank you. right now i am doing q and a saunders.is the q banks from kaplan helpful?
The q banks have helped me a lot, but I have 59% and like 87% of the q bank completed which includes me using the option to use questions that I have missed and ones that I haven't used. I like Exam Cram and Hurst though because they are core content.
