Oct 2014 CRNE Result COUNTDOWN

World Canada CRNE

Published

Hello Colleagues!!I wrote the CRNE yesterday! GOODLUCK!! It's a mixed of hard & easy questions! I'm crossing my fingers & praying so hard to get a "PASS" result.. :saint:

Yes. Hope dreams come true.

I'm in Calgary, Alberta.

Does anyone know what the "Average scaled score of passing candidates" were for this exam?

In June they were:

PP 651

NCP 666

H&H 636

CH 589

K/C 661

A 628

CT 596

Im just curious to see if people who passed had higher scores now than in June.

Btw i just used the acronyms (ex. PP stands for Professional Practice, K/C Knowledge/Comprehension, etc.)

I'd like to know what as well.

If anyone knows and would like to share.

Congrats to all of you who were successful. For those who are still waiting; hope all goes well. I am from BC and got results this morning and I am so happy I passed. Inside the envelope there is a congratulation letter, a certificate from Canada Nursing Association and a form for initial registration. There are no information about your marks. All the best to everyone. I am also an international nurse

Congrats to those who have passed.

No news yet for all Albertans.

Congratulations

Received my results earlier this week in the GTA and I PASSED!!! Seems likes Ontario was one of the first provinces to release results, this last time around with the CRNE. Boy, am I glad. Congratulations to all!

I got my letter last week (with a pass !!) I'm in ontario. Why does it take so long for registration with Ontario Nurses Board? In my letter it said that I had to provide a copy of my Permanent Residency card, I sent it the next day and faxed it too. I rang and asked if they received it and they said it will take 15 days to process any paperwork - basically just to lodge a fax takes 15 days. They said it will take several weeks before I can work. I've already got a job and they are waiting for my registration to come thru. I'm the money earner for my family and I need to work. Any advice on how to expedite this process? I find the CNO to be the most frustrating process ever. I started this 18 months ago - I was even told I had to do an English test - I studied and worked for 14 years in Australia. omg.

Specializes in Hospital nursing.

No way to expedite it. It takes however long it takes. The CNO (not Ontario Nurses Board) states up front that it can take UP TO 15 business days. Doesn't mean it will, only that they give themselves that much time. They have lots to do right now, and aren't a huge operation, so be patient.

I totally appreciate being the bread-winner in your family, but in this case you need to just sit tight and wait for it to come in. For your new job, can you start orientation and just do the part where you aren't working on the floor? Sometimes you can do the classroom orientation while you are waiting on the registration.

Hope it comes through soon, but again - no way to expedite it. :( Lots of other people are in the exact same boat as yours, so to the CNO, your application is in no way more important, and will be processed in the order in which it was received, and take however long it takes.

More importantly, congrats on passing AND on finding a job! :)

Well can you work as a Graduate Nurse?

I am presently working as a graduate nurse and they will always pay a retro once you get the RN title. The pay difference is only 3 dollars from GN to RN.

I am waiting for the pass mark so I can transition to be a Case Coordinator once I become a RN.
