OCCC Spring 2011 hopefulls!!!!!

Hi all...I didnt get in for the fall but I am trying again for the Spring 2011...just seeing who else is trying for Spring...I am more excited this time because I have more points this time and if it is about the same as it was for the fall I should get in with out a problem :D

I have: 17pts, and 3.25 GPA

I know, this is pure torture!

me either i was really hoping we would have got them...guess we shall see if we get them tomorrow "fingers crossed" im soooooooo sick of waiting:uhoh3: it does make it better cause most people just dont get what it feels like unless they have been through it.....

Okay, I just called admissions and they said they mailed the letters out today. They said the cut off was 16 points, think the gpa was around 3.3 but are not positive about gpa. I am an alternate. Is there anyone out there who applied this semester, got in and is going to wait for BADNAP or OU/OCCC collaborative or has another reason they cannot attend yet because I really hope so. I am more stressed now because I have to wait to see if someone who was accepted cannot go, but I'm at the top of alternate list.

Congrats to everyone who did get in. I hope to see you. My gpa is messed up from some business classes I did not enjoy. It is 2.9933 and they said if the last 3 had been a 5 it would have rounded up and I would have 17 points which is what I thought I had when I applied. I can't believe I was close.

WOW...really i wonder if we will get them tomorrow then or Saturday? the cutoff makes me feel better, but il will still be nervous til i see it for myself.

@Trennie i am surprised they said they would round it up, because they didnt round mine up last semester or i would have had another point and would already be in? they must have changed it i guess.

They said they would only round up if the last number was a 5 but otherwise they won't. Was your last number a 5?

I understand I still want to see the letter and see how long people have to turn their stuff in and all that because then maybe they will contact some alternates. I was told around 4-10 alternates normally get in, but I don't know if that is as true for Spring as it is for Fall.

OH wow, you were closer than me. I asked if they would round if it was 5 or above and he said yes but maybe he misunderstood or just wanted to get me off the phone. I don't know. Were you an alternate last semester?
