Yeah they definitely need to smooth out the process. I wish they’d given applicants at least time prior to making final decisions if there is something wrong with applications to correct it so that we weren’t waiting anxiously for 5 weeks just to be let down when it is not our mistake.

I did not get in, 3.01 GPA and all prerequisites completed last fall. I’m too old to apply for the Summer cohort, and my numbers won’t change between now and then anyway, so my nursing aspirations are finished.

Best of luck to those of you who were admitted, you all will do great! I’ve enjoyed chatting with everyone these past few months!

I'm wondering how so many people with all their pre reqs did not get in? They must have had an absolutely insane amount of applications or just about everyone who applied had finished all their pre reqs which I find hard to believe. Are we sure they took 45 applicants with COVID still a big deal? I suppose they could have taken a smaller cohort to try and maintain social distancing?

Same here. I have a 3.01 GPA and all pre reqs completed, but being in my late 40’s I won’t be pursuing it if I don’t get in. I’m Alternate #2 so we’ll see. Just more waiting...

Tonja, I completely understand! I’m 43, almost 44 and that’s how I was feeling. It feels strange going back to school full time with my girls! Good luck! I bet you will get in no problem!

I noticed on the class schedule for early Spring, they have 72 seats available for the 1st semester BADNAP students, so it looks like they’ve possibly admitted more than usual? Although, I’m probably reading it wrong, I left my bifocals at home today and this is the 2nd nursing program I’ve been rejected from, so I’m seriously doubting my intellect at this point ?

My advisor has told me that sometimes they get pretty deep into the alternate list, so best of luck to all of you who made it that far! I will keep my fingers crossed for all of you ?

@dara.young don’t doubt your intellect! The GPA rankings alone are tough. What alternate number are you? They placed me at 13.5 after reviewing my app so I’m hoping there was really 72 seats available so there’s a better shot at least.

My email did not mention anything about being an alternate ?

You should call them. If your app wasn't rejected then you should have been placed on an alternate list if your stats did not get you past the cutoff. They may have just messed up!

@dara.young I agree, I would call or email them directly because your GPA was higher than mine and I’m an alternate. Last round I didn’t get in on a technicality and this time I qualified but am low on the alternate list.
