Everybody gets to whine once in a while, hope things are better.

Sometimes it's just so sad ... just so difficult being a nurse. Some patients will never be "ok" no matter what expert medical/nursing care they get. Others will. The point is to do the best that you can do and support your patient with the resources that you have. Hang in there. And remember ... it's ok to whine here -- whine -- then let it go and move on ... Everyday's a new day.
i had a big long whiny post which i eliminated. it had too many specifics. yup, i had a bad weekend. i was tx'd rudely and unfairly by two physicians. all my co-workers agreed it was so and i felt like crap.
this afternoon i got a phone call from the pto president. the secretary of my children's school lost her 23 year old son saturday night. suddenly, my weekend was not so awful after all.

Like my mom always said, "Remember, there's always someone worse off than you."

Sorry about the bad weekend, blame it on the moon, hope you are doing better now.
PS sorry to hear about your friend's son, so sad to loose someone close and so young:o

i wish you had not edited. just cause someone "has it worse than you"--- ( this does not help me to hear it when I am truly distressed myself)---- does not mean we are not interested in hearing your troubles and giving support. i wish i had been able to see your original post. take care now.
