Oakland community college 2016 applicants

Published

Hello everyone,,

is is anyone here waiting for their acceptance letter to Oakland community college? Also are there any students here that is currently in the program? I am really pump to get started and is looking for any advice I can receive about the program in general.

Congratulations to you all that have been accepted! I'll be applying at the end of this year with 13 pts. I was wondering if you all wouldn't mind sharing your points? Or know of anyone who has been accepted with 13 points? Thanks so much!

Thank you! I transferred all my courses from another school, and applied with 11 or 12 I don't remember exactly but I did get accepted. If you meet all the requirements and have good grades in the main courses, there's a good chance you'll get in. Good Luck!!

I agree with Rheinz,, you should be fine Lovebomb.. As the time passes and you have anymore questions, don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you guys so much. I have 4/5 of the courses transferring in with 2 A's and 3 B's. I plan to go meet with a counselor and take my HESI over the summer, btw, how was that.?

If you get the Hesi study book, and review the math and reading you'll pass no problem. Math has never been my favorite but I just went over the practice questions a few times and got a 92. Make sure you know your conversions!

Honestly, the Hesi was simple to me. I just stressed myself out for noting. Just get the Hesi book and you'll be fine. With that said you should study extensively tho because your experience might be different ya know? Maybe I got the easy test.. Everyone I spoke to said the English was hard but that was the easiest for me. All in all the Hesi A2 book helped ALOT

I have my HESI book handy now =) thank you both for your input!

My IG is Amannndapeterson. & thank you Lovebomb! I don't remember how many points I had but I didn't retake any classes and only transferred a few from Wayne State and AP credits from high school. Just make sure you get good grades! Like Kelvin and Rheinz said, I thought the HESI was pretty easy. I didn't buy the study book just looked at some practice tests online and passed with a 92. Just make sure you know conversions!

Do you know of anyone choosing the winter start date?

I do prefer the winter start date, I put it on my preference sheet so hoping I get it. Is that was you're hoping for Tammy?

I also chose the winter start date & I marked it on my sheet. I hope I get it so I can take some classes for my bachelors in the fall.

Awesome, where are you planning on transferring to for your bachelors?
