For those who are transferring as a traditional BSN.... is anyone looking at on campus housing? I was able to fill out my housing application today and would like to possibly room with another nursing major. I also want to know if it's just me or if anyone else is nervous about finding everything in the city lol

Hello!

I was accepted today too!...problem is, my Albert doesn't seem to be working to accept/deny an offer - when I login it doesn't indicate anywhere that I was accepted.

The only proof I have at this point is an email..anyone else having this same problem? When I called, they said to try a different browser etc. but doesn't seem to be working...kind of worrying me lol

@bruin4lyfe116 Did you click on "Application status"? If you click that, there should be an "accept/decline" button. Just make sure your pop up blocker is off and cookies are enabled when accepting/making your payment lol

@sandyx3 thank you! Congrats to you too! Do you know what we're supposed to do after we pay? I checked the check list but nothing applied to me since I already have a bachelors and they have my transcripts. Besides waiting for my financial aid package at least

@kjmm Thanks :) And the acceptance email mentioned that information about orientation, advisement, and registration would be sent to us after confirming our enrollment so I was just going to wait for that (hopefully it'll come by tomorrow if by email because I actually just confirmed with my deposit about an hour ago haha). In the meantime I think there are some health forms that we can get prepare to get filled out. Requirements | NYU College of Nursing That's all I'm sure of right now haha. Maybe someone else who got accepted earlier can shed some light :)

@sandyx3 ahh okay thank you!! I tried signing into the health center site but it didn't work I guess I'll just wait a day or two. Hopefully they get back to us soon about everything

Hi @kvwinters. I've looked into on campus housing and it seems pretty expensive for what you get. I think ideally a three bedroom apartment would be perfect in terms of cost and the space you get...but I just need roommates! I have found some good ones online - but am not sure if a broker is the way to go or what. email me [email protected] if you're interested!

Hi Guys,

Does anyone know which Private Student Loans lenders are more lenient? I have a few blemishes on my credit report and my score is around 680. I applied at Discover ( for 10 K i believe) without a cosigner and got denied... I called the Financial Aid office and they told me to keep applying and that i should try Sally Mae. Has anyone applied with more than one lender and had luck? Please let me know if you have suggestions as what lender to apply with or any suggestions that may be helpful. Thank you!

@Sandyx3 Thank you for replying to my earlier message. Have you (or anyone else) heard about advising/registration etc? I found out last week I got accepted (12/21) and paid my deposit on 12/22 and still have not heard anything. I've been emailing/calling admissions but understandably it is the holidays so haven't heard back.

Wondering if anyone is in the same boat - paid their deposit but no word on registration yet.

I didn't get any information as to how to register but I just did anyway. If you go into "Student Center" you have the option to register for classes and I was able to do so without a problem. I still need to take micro nutrition and dev psych and all three were still open. Not sure if I was supposed to or not but it says on one the modules that I was allowed to. So maybe try to register for classes and see if it works for you.

As for advisors- I have not been assigned one advisor yet. And that is also shown in one module. I feel like after the holidays we are going to get smacked with a bunch of things we need to do and everything we need to know

Hey, I don't know about others, I haven't been assigned an advisor nor gotten registered for classes yet because I still have to send in my final transcripts (I took nutrition and dev psych this fall semester) before I can be registered.

I don't think you have to worry about anything though, because they're going enroll us in our classes. This was in one of the emails I received after paying my deposit - "The Office of Undergraduate Programs will enroll you into ALL of the required coursework for the First Nursing Sequence. You will be registered for all your courses byJanuary 11 ^th so you do not need to do anything."
