Exciting :) When are you applying?

I am applying I think it early September :).

Hbu? Are you a transfer or ABSN?

I will be applying into the accelerated, second degree program.

I'm transfer traditional. I'm trying to find out the trends for this time. I actually applied last semester but my essay wasn't the greatest. I would really recommend writing an amazing essay and making sure everything is in on time for NYU. And obviously having at least 3.0. Last semester it looked like ABSN students were mainly told during the first two weeks and then the last two weeks of the month only a few people got in. So I'm assuming that's Nov 1st - 14th. and December 1st-14th. Last semester it was 3 months apirl-june but this semester has few months for them to report back to us so it could be different!

Great insight. If you don't mind me asking, what was your GPA last time you applied?

Since I transferred schools, my GPA is kind of all over the place.

My new school lowered my GPA because they didnt accept two classes I repeated my freshman year and that dropped me down a lot. I had a 3.15 my Soph year and they dropped my to a 2.8 when I came in. So I wanted to leave as soon as possible after they did that because I didn't want to have that GPA at all. So when I applied to NYU my school wrote down that that was the GPA I had coming in even though my GPA was much higher but because their school didnt accept my repeat classes they lowered it.

My GPA now is a 3.4 and it's about to go up to a 3.5 after my summer classes in.

NYU really cares about your essay. I saw a lot of ABSN students getting in with low 3.0's than high 3's so that's another thing. Majority of them who got accepted at a 3.2-3.4 actually. I saw a lot of students with 3.6+ that didn't make it which was weird. Make sure you really make them feel your sense of personality through your essay..my second mistake was talking too much about their school than about myself!

I go back to where I applied and click the link and log in. It says my application is pending. I hope they got my transcripts...

I checked mine and it shows me submitted. Have you had any updates?
