NYU Spring 2016

Hi all

Who will be applying here for NYU Spring 2016 semester. I heard the online application should be live 2nd week of August.

No, I didn't! haha. I am applying with you guys. I just know this from what the lady said before. I think they start telling us Nov 3rd and then it's like every two weeks there's a lot of people who get letters and then a few amount the last two weeks of the month. It seems like they tell people on T&Thru every year during the time you apply. ABSN students usually find out in Nov and the beginning of Dec. And transfer students find out last like Mid Dec - Jan.

Doesn't matter when you apply sadly :/ all people get told during the same time unless you're a transfer 4 year like me, but ABSN can get told any time from now until like Jan but usually it seems like the ones they want the most are told first then the ones they want the 2nd most then waitlisted people and denies in between

:-( so why would they have two deadlines, one being for earlier admission!!?? I have my bachelors from another university. Does that mean I should hear soon??

They do this every year. Last year I asked them and they said it doesn't matter when you apply because we review at them same time. I think for ABSN it does matter to be honest. Cause they do start reporting back the same week of the dead line. We will start hearing from them on Thursday.

Last time I knew someone who applied like for example in August when the application first opened and didnt hear back until Mid Dec. So it doesn't always matter.

ABSN the first two weeks of Nov should be filled with a lot of acceptences and denies and then the last two weeks are quiet this is usually when people deny or accept their offer to NYU and some letters of acceptances are given out but not that many, and then go through another big accept/deny in the first two weeks of Dec and then Transfer students get their letters and then waitlist people are kind of last.

My friend who got in last spring told me thats how it went for her and others.

I'm shocked theres not that many people in this thread. I heard from other people that spring is way easier than Fall to get in b/c most apply during the Fall.

Hi everyone!

I also applied for the ABSN for the Sprint 2016 so I figured it was time to join a thread in the midst of waiting for decisions to go out. Like all of you, I'm really hoping to hear back within the next few weeks. I'm from California so the sooner I find out the better in order to be able to arrange everything in time. Where is everyone else from?

Same, I applied August 27th, I was reading last year's thread and it seemed they got their answers starting November 11th (second Tuesday of November). I think that is when we will get ours, so the 10th.

I have a few who went or had gone there. One graduated last semester and another who is doing their 3rd semester. They all loved/love the program so much. She just said the 1st & 3rd are the worst semesters cause the 1st everything is crazy and a lot of stress and the 3rd semester is hard b/c of Adult & Elder 3
