NYU hiring process

U.S.A. New York

Hello I recently applied for a position at NYU, they sent me an email recently saying to complete an online questionnaire or assessment tool. Is that a good sign? Do I have a good chance of hearing back?

You're welcome! I am not 100% positive but around 3.3ish I believe. Apply regardless, what do you have to lose?!?

@maxvoca Thanks for your prompt response! Could you let me know what their gpa's were if you don't mind?

I would apply it's up to them whether or not your GPA is a big deal :)

Yes ! Went in for my physical and to the HR office to give them all my original documents (licenses, registration, etc. ) Also had to take a med calc test ! It was super easy (15 questions, multiple choice). Waiting to be medically cleared then I am all set for orientation on the 16th !

Did you guys get any more updates after the offer?

Did you guys get your background check already? If you did, when did you get it? And how long did it take to hear back from that?

Yes filled out everything for my background check about 2 days after I got my official offer letter ! I haven't heard about regarding it, so I'm assuming everything is fine !

Hey question!

They haven't told me of a position yet but she asked me for my 5 references and to come in to take a math test. Is this good sign or is this just what everyone does even though they don't have an interview with a unit yet? I've been in touch with them since septmeber and I just recently got my license.

I think that's a good sign ! I got my offer through the interview day, so I don't know the exact steps to your process. But I would say it's a good sign !

93,475 for morning shift +5k shift differential for night shift .

@Kmichelle that's usually a good sign . Usually after the interview with the manager and human resources they will ask you to fill out your references. Though it doesn't always guarantee a position. It is a good sign .

Background check took 72 hours . You can actually check the link that they send you to fill out.

@rk17 I think the fall graduate 2017 residency is closed . Hopefully they should open up a spring one . But if I were you . I would just apply to any open position at NYU that you are interested in . Honestly . All new grads get put into a residency program so I would just apply to anything you find across on the career site that you are interested in .its an awesome place to work and If it's really your goal just apply .

It's just so weird because I had a phone interview in November. They were supposed to have an interview event in Dec but it was canceled and it kept getting canceled from my knowledge. The recruiter told me about a position and asked if I wanted it (without giving the reference or going to the event) but when I asked her what type of unit it was, it was already closed. So now when I asked about any other positions they told me that they want me to come in for that stuff. So I wasn't sure if it was regular or not since there's no jobs opened yet but she did say there will be soon. I hope it's a good sign. I'm wondering if anyone else got this email too?
