Hi everyone,

There was no forum for NYU BSN applicants, so I thought I'd start one. Hello, is there anybody out there?

Financial aid is killing me right now, but I'm pretty much in the same situation as you; the other schools to which I applied will only get back to me after it's too late.

Sure tiala, I have a BA in Econ with a lowly 3.0 GPA, but my pre-req GPA is 4.0. I also have over 100 hours of volunteer experience as well as certification as a phlebotomist.

@shygstgurl I'm from SF and am waiting on a decision from Samuel Merritt too for Fall. Thanks for the heads up on the June notifications. I don't understand why they take so long...

I was accepted to the accelerated BSN for fall 2012. I am a senior Biology Major, Business Major, at Cornell University. Looking forward to getting to know you all- please let me know the name of the facebook group so I can request to join!

Like alot of you guys- this financial aid wait is making me a nervous wreck. I emailed the financial aid office a few days ago- but haven't heard anything back. Does anyone know if in years past- did any accelerated students get offered scholarships? I was accepted to another great program that is significantly cheaper. I want to go to NYU, but I'm feeling alot of anxiety thinking about student loans. I stayed up all night yesterday churning the numbers in my head and making myself sick. To be honest, I am just scared to death that 5 years from now I will be facing that debt and thinking 'why did I do this?' I know NYU would be an awesome experience, but I hope someone else out there has been feeling this way too about the huge loans? I'm not trying to be negative, I am just freaked out.

@Lalala120 Thank goodness- I am glad I am not alone. My poor family and friends are sick to death of listening to me cry and panic. I'm just so overwhelmed when I think about those loan repayments! My heart wants to go to NYU, but my logic is telling me I am crazy.

I made a call today to financial aid and they said our statices should be updated sometime next week.

NYU ABSN Fall 2012 sounds good to me for the facebook group. For those of you who were accepted into the program around April 5th, how long did it take for you to get the informational packet in the mail? I was only accepted a few days ago and was just wondering when I should be receiving that!
