Hey wassup everyone, seems like this thread is starting to pick up. =)

I'm also from Cali and was wondering if anyone has suggestions or advice on where to live in Queens. I've heard that Flushing is a chill spot to live in, chill as in safe, is that true?

Hey there! I'm from Cali too, now living in NYC :) I've been to Flushing once and I can tell you its pretty far on the train from NYU. Not sure how long it would take by bus or car and I'm not sure about the safety factor. I know Astoria is in Queens, not too far and is safe and really nice.

Under Financial Aid, I clicked on Financial Aid Summary and it has a column for 2012. I hope we all hear good news very soon!

Hey! I live in Astoria, Queens and its really awesome here! A lot of good restaurants and bars! Another plus, its only 10-15 minutes away from the city..but to NYU around 25-30 minutes. Another friend of mine lives in Woodside, Queens and its a nice and safe area too but Astoria is def more lively. Hope this helps!

Anyone else check their ALBERT login today? When I clicked on "Application Status" there was "Admissions Offer" button and I found out I was accepted!

I just received my email from NYU...I wasn't accepted :(

Congrats!!!! I emailed admissions today and they said first round of acceptances go out today and will continue through the end of November, good luck everyone!
